March 20th release concert in the Studio de l’Ermitage in Paris

I’m grateful to everyone who participated in it. I’ve been working on getting a Paris based band since I moved here 9 years ago and I’m so lucky to have these guys and girl in my band. It’s a privilege and great enjoyment to play and record with Ludivine, Olivier, Manu and Yoni!

In the past year the band had included Magic Malik and a few times Christophe, with whom I’ve been playing in a couple of bands from the beginning of my Paris adventure. Both him being a musician that I love and admire and him knowing my music were the perfect conditions to have him produce the album (kind of like an artistic director). P.S. – I he’s releasing an album of his own these days so keep an ear-eye out for it!

I got to make this album in some of the best conditions, we recorded in Studio De Meudon (in Meudon, of course) with Julien Bassères and to mix it with Mathieu Pion in his studio in Orlèans and master it with PE Meriaud. These guys are no.1, the best.

Thank you Sylvain Gripoix – Photographe for finding a perfect visual identity for the album, truly a grandmaster of this task!

The album is out on Rue Des Balkans which is a label I founded recently and distributed on L’Autre Distribution. (Thank you Luc for believing in the album and Roman for the great work!). Agnès Thomas for the PR of the album!

Thank to Catherine for supporting me and putting up with me dedicating so much time to music, it’s not easy being a musician’s partner. And thanks to Joël Veiga and Yucca Rousset for being great buddies and for supporting my ventures. Thanks, as always, to my dad Vojislav Ivanovic for the inspiration and transmitting the love for music. If you listen very closely you can hear an hommage to his composing in one of the tracks. And thanks to my mother Fahira Zvizdic for being a rock for me to hold on to.

Finally, thanks to the SCPP and Adami for helping fund the album and to the Ville de Paris for helping realise the release concert.
